We’d like to remind you of the Awards & Bursaries offered by Communities in Bloom to all communities involved in the program this year.

The Butchart Gardens Land Reclamation Award (click for more info)
Open to all Canadian communities that have a park/garden/green space for which the community was looking for new perspectives. Such as, but not limited to:
– Reclaimed land such as a former quarry, dumpsite, or mine transformed to parkland for recreation or education purposes;
– Industrial land, such as brownfields, that have been decontaminated and developed as a park
– Waterfront park developed on industrial land
– Vacant wasteland or underutilized open space

WinterLife Award, by Municipal World (click for more info)
The objective of this award is to recognize efforts and involvement in projects and initiatives which engage the community with indoor and outdoor activities from November through March.

NFL School Garden Award (click for more info)
Nutrients for Life, a proud partner of Communities in Bloom, is offering a $500 grant to support a local school garden to all Canadian communities registered (all editions) in the Communities in Bloom program.

CIB Foundation Bursary – 2020 Claudette Savaria Bursary (click for more info)
Each year, the Foundation awards two bursaries to two students registered in a full-time post-secondary program pertaining to ornamental and/or environmental horticulture in an accredited institution and who are involved with their local Communities in Bloom committee, in the national or provincial editions.
